Lawn and Garden Care Products

Partially full containers of pesticides/insecticides, herbicides and fertilizers should be dropped off at the Moderate Risk Waste Facility at the Regional Transfer Station in Port Angeles. It is open Wednesday and Saturdays 11-4. Many pesticides, herbicides and chemical fertilizers are hazardous and can cause severe damage to you and the environment. Homeowners use up to 10 times more chemical pesticides per acre on their lawns than farmers use on their crops! Instead, feed your lawn and garden with compost. Locally made Garden Glory Compost is available for $20/cubic yard at the Regional Transfer Station/Compost Facility in Port Angeles. For more information call 417-4874.

Empty containers of hazardous materials go in the garbage.  DO NOT put in the recycling.
